1 Killed in Galt Truck Collision on Highway 99 near Simmerhorn Road
Sacramento, California (May 19, 2022) – One person was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck on Thursday morning in Galt.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened on Highway 99 near Simmerhorn Road at around 11:50 a.m.
A minivan was traveling on the roadway when it rear-ended a semi-truck. The minivan ended up under the trailer.
The minivan was allegedly speeding on the highway prior to the collision.
Officials say one person was killed in the crash.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
