At Least 1 Hurt in Concord Crash on Highway 4 near Highway 242

Concord, California (May 23, 2022) – A Monday evening Concord crash on Highway 4 left at least one person with major injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred at about 6:33 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway just west of Highway 242.
Three vehicles, including a black Hyundai Santa Fe, were involved in the accident.
A female party got out of one of the cars and laid down in a traffic lane next to the vehicle after the collision. A small child also got out of one of the vehicles.
Firefighters responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person had sustained major injuries.
No other details were given, but authorities are investigating.
