One Injured in Fresno Crash at Huntington Boulevard and Orchard Street
Fresno, California (May 25, 2022) – A crash injured a CHP officer on Wednesday morning in central Fresno, according to the authorities.
The incident took place in the area of Huntington Boulevard and Orchard Street at around 6:45 a.m.
A driver reportedly failed to yield to the patrol car at the intersection, leading to the collision.
The CHP officer was taken to a local hospital with a complaint of pain.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is underway.

According to statistics by NHTSA, over 15,000 lives were saved by seat belts in crashes that happened in 2017. In 2020, 10,893 unbuckled people in passenger vehicles died in crashes in the US. 60% of the young adults (ages 18 to 34) killed in the crashes were completely unrestrained.
