Santiago McCrea Killed in Sacramento Bicycle Accident near Deer Lake Drive and La Tarriga Way

, California (May 26, 2022) – The bicyclist who was struck and killed by a garbage on Monday morning in Sacramento has been identified as Santiago Azryele McCrea, 23, of Sacramento, according to a local news source.

The crash happened shortly before 8:45 a.m. on May 23, in the area of Deer Lake Drive and La Tarriga Way.

Police said McCrea was riding a in the area when he was struck by a city garbage truck.

McCrea was pronounced deceased at the site of the accident.

The Sacramento Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
