, California (May 26, 2022) – One person died following a traffic collision involving a vehicle that had been earlier pursued by the authorities on Thursday night in Huntington Beach.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, one of the involved vehicles had been pursued by the police officers prior to the collision.

It's unclear how many vehicles were involved in the accident that occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on Brookhurst and Bushard streets.

One person died following the collision.

A second party was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

It's unclear what led up to the collision. Authorities were working to determine the cause of the accident.
