Major Injuries Reported in Rio Vista Crash on Highway 12 near Jackson Slough Road
Rio Vista, California (May 27, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Friday afternoon multi-vehicle accident that resulted in major injuries in Rio Vista, Sacramento.
The accident occurred at about 2:00 p.m. on Highway 12 near Jackson Slough Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, seven vehicles, including a car hauler, collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Major injuries were reported in the accident.
Following the collision, traffic was reportedly backed up from Rio Vista to the east of the Mokelumne River.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
