Sherman Oaks, California (May 27, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after colliding with a vehicle Friday afternoon in Sherman Oaks, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident was reported at around 3 p.m. on westbound Highway 101, just east of Nuys Boulevard.

According to CHP, a rider on a blue motorcycle collided with a vehicle for unknown reasons.

Emergency responders found the motorcyclist down in the center divider, the motorcycle in the No. 1 lane and a gray Ford F-150 in the center divider.

The rider suffered major injuries in the accident.

The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were temporarily closed following the collision.

CHP is investigating the incident.
