Driver Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision at Minna Gombell Lane and Pioneertown Road
San Bernardino County, California (May 31, 2022) – A driver was seriously injured in a Pioneertown crash that happened Monday afternoon in San Bernardino County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A pickup truck and another vehicle were involved in the accident at around 1:27 p.m. at Minna Gombell Lane and Pioneertown Road.
Firefighters responded to the intersection to help the motorists.
One of the drivers sustained a broken right leg. The person was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators did not immediately determine the cause of the collision.

According to statistics by NHTSA, over 15,000 lives were saved by seat belts in crashes that happened in 2017. In 2020, 10,893 unbuckled people in passenger vehicles died in crashes in the US. 60% of the young adults (ages 18 to 34) killed in the crashes were completely unrestrained.
