1 Killed after Mustang Crashes into Semi-Truck on Highway 183 in Monterey

, California (June 1, 2022) – One person was killed in a collision involving a semi- on Wednesday morning near in Monterey County.

The crash happened on southbound Highway 183 near Copper Road at around 1 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Ford Mustang was traveling on the highway when it slammed into a semi-truck.

The car became stuck underneath the semi-truck and burst into flames.

Officials say one person was killed in the crash.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
