Bicyclist Killed in San Francisco Accident at Oak Street and Octavia Boulevard

San Francisco, California (June 1, 2022) – A bicycle rider was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco on Wednesday morning, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
The incident happened just before 4 a.m. near Oak Street and Octavia Boulevard.
A male on a bike reportedly collided with a vehicle in the area.
The bicycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver who collided with the bicyclist remained at the scene.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
Police said impairment was not believed to have played a role in the accident, whose cause remained under investigation.

- When passing a bicyclist, always maintain a minimum of three feet of space, and also be patient when driving behind a bicyclist.
- Do not drive when impaired. Do not use your phone while driving.
