Jonathan Waters Killed in Oakland Bicycle Crash on Shattuck Avenue and 55th Street
North Oakland, California (June 2, 2022) – Jonathan Waters, 60, of Berkeley, was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding a bike on Friday night in North Oakland, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. on May 27, in the area of Shattuck Avenue and 55th Street.
Waters was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Alamo resident.
He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased just after 7:40 a.m. on Saturday.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The Oakland Police Department is investigating the incident.
