Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries after Colliding with GMC Truck on Bell Street at Highway 101 On-Ramp in Santa Maria
Santa Maria, California (June 4, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries after colliding with a GMC truck Saturday afternoon in Santa Maria, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident was reported at about 5:52 p.m. on Bell Street at the southbound Highway 101 on-ramp.
CHP officers and firefighters responded to the scene to find a red GMC pickup truck on the right-hand shoulder and the rider and the motorcycle blocking the roadway.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the collision.
CHP officers are investigating the incident.
