2 Injured in Modesto Accident at Sick Road and Whitcomb Way
Modesto, California (June 8, 2022) – A police officer was struck by a suspected DUI driver at a Modesto intersection on Monday night, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred on Sick Road and Whitcomb Way at around 7:42 p.m. on June 6.
According to the report, a Modesto police officer was traveling north on Sick Road when a driver failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the patrol vehicle.
The second driver was taken to a hospital for treatment. The officer had a minor complaint of pain.
Police said the civilian driver is expected to be arrested for DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
