1 Trapped in Crash on Highway 33 near Casitas Vista Road in Ventura
Ventura, California (June 10, 2022) – One person was trapped in a head-on crash that happened Thursday afternoon in Ventura, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported at about 5:51 a.m. on Highway 33, just north of Casitas Vista Road.
The accident involved a pickup truck and a sedan.
One person was trapped inside one of the vehicles after the collision.
Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene and blocked the highway in both directions.
Minor injuries were sustained in the accident, as per the report.
The Environmental Health Division was also requested to respond to the scene for about 30 gallons of diesel that spilled into the dirt on the right-hand shoulder.
The traffic lanes were reopened just before 10 a.m.
