2 Airlifted after Head-on Crash on Angeles Forest Highway in Tujunga

Tujunga, California (June 22, 2022) – Two people were airlifted to the hospital after a head-on collision that took place Tuesday morning in Tujunga, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred at about 5:27 p.m. on Angeles Forest Highway at Mile Marker 24.21.

A red Honda and a gray Nissan Sentra were involved in the collision.

Fire Department responded to the scene. The firefighters blocked the highway in both directions and requested one of their helicopters to respond and airlift two people to the hospital. Copter 21 responded and transported both parties to the hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
