Two People Injured in Ashlan Avenue Fiery Crash in Northeast Fresno
Fresno, California (June 24, 2022) – Two people were hospitalized Friday afternoon following a crash involving two in Northeast Fresno, according to Fresno Police.
The crash took place near Ashland Avenue and Highway 41 in Northeast Fresno at about 2:15 p.m.
Officers say an occupant of one of the vehicles, a sedan, fled the scene while the second vehicle, which appears to be a van, caught fire and was badly burned.
As per the officers, two people were transported to a local hospital with complaints of pain.
The westbound Ashlan Avenue was shut down as crews worked to clear the roadway. The road has since been reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
