1 Hospitalized after Forestville Car Crash on Green Valley Road and Highway 116

Forestville, California (June 25, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after a traffic crash involving a big rig hauling gravel Friday afternoon in Forestville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident was reported at about 12:17 p.m. on Green Valley Road at Highway 116.
Firefighters responded to the scene to find a semi-truck that was transporting gravel overturned onto its side after colliding with a Ford F-250 pickup truck.
About forty feet of gravel was spilled onto the roadway, and about two hundred feet of guardrail was destroyed. The crash also left a scrape in the eastbound lane of about two hundred feet long and three inches deep.
One person was transported from the crash scene to the hospital with minor injuries.
Caltrans was requested to respond to the scene for the damage caused by the crash.
The highway was closed at Green Valley Road in both directions until at about 4:10 p.m. following the collision.
