1 Hospitalized after San Diego Car Accident on Interstate 5 near Del Mar Heights Road
San Diego, California (June 27, 2022) – One person was sent to the hospital after a multi-car collision that happened Sunday morning in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported at around 11:14 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5 near Del Mar Heights Road.
Firefighters responded to the scene and closed one traffic lane at the end of Del Mar Heights Road on-ramp to northbound Interstate 5.
One person who complained of pain was transported to the hospital for treatment.
At least one of the cars involved, a maroon Nissan Sentra, was towed away from the scene.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
