1 Hospitalized with Major Injuries after 605 Freeway Crash at Rosecrans Avenue Off-Ramp in Norwalk
Norwalk, California (June 28, 2022) – Two vehicles collided, one of them catching fire, and leaving one person with major injuries Monday night in Norwalk, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident happened at about 9:27 p.m. on the northbound 605 Freeway at the Rosecrans Avenue off-ramp.
According to CHP, a gray Chrysler and a gray Honda were involved in the collision. Flames came out of under the Chrysler after the crash, and moments later, the car got fully engulfed.
A female driver of one of the cars sustained major injuries, including lacerations to the head. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to take the patient to the hospital.
The Rosecrans Avenue off-ramp was closed for an unknown period following the accident.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
