1 Killed in Head-On Collision on Byron Highway near Mountain House Road in Contra Costa
Contra Costa, California (July 1, 2022) – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Friday morning in Byron, Contra Costa.
The fatal crash happened at around 5:55 a.m. on Byron Highway near Mountain House Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A black SUV and a black sedan were involved in a head-on collision. The events leading up to the accident, however, were not immediately established.
Officials say one person was killed in the crash.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
