22-Year-Old Celestino Fuentes Among 3 Killed in Winnetka Crash at W. Vanowen Street and Corbin Avenue

Winnetka, California (July 5, 2022) – 22-year-old Celestino Fuentes of Burbank, was one of three men killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Sunday evening in Winnetka, the authorities said.
The fatal crash occurred in the 19700 block of W. Vanowen Street at Corbin Avenue at around 9 p.m. on July 3.
Authorities said Fuentes was among three occupants of a Ford Explorer SUV that were ejected during the crash.
The Ford was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with a dip at Corbin Avenue and lost control.
The Ford crashed with a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, then it rolled over and slammed into an Audi.
Fuentes and the other two ejected parties were killed in the accident.
A fourth person in the Ford was wearing a seatbelt and only suffered minor injuries.
Medics transported six other patients with serious injuries to hospitals for treatment.
Authorities said speed may have been a factor in the collision, which remained under investigation.

Los Angeles, California (July 3, 2022) – Three people were killed in a Sunday evening car crash in Winnetka, Los Angeles.
At around 9 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters and CHP officers responded to a collision near the intersection of W. Vanowen Street and Corbin Avenue.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
Officials say three people were killed in the evening wreck.
Seven other people were evaluated for various injuries.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
