Alfonso Chavez ID'd as Bicyclist Killed in Fresno County Crash on Jensen Avenue and DeWolf Avenue
Fresno County, California (July 12, 2022) – Alfonso Chavez, 33, of Sanger, has been identified as the bicyclist who was killed in a Monday morning traffic accident involving a semi-truck in Fresno County, according to the Fresno County Sheriff's Office.
The deadly accident occurred at about 3:40 a.m., on July 11, at Jensen Avenue and DeWolf Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Chavez was riding his bike when, for unknown reasons, he veered to the left, where the semi-truck rear-ended him.
Sadly, Chavez, who was ejected onto the roadway, was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
