3 Injured in Valencia Inmate Bus Accident on Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway
Valencia, California (July 13, 2022) – A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department inmate bus was involved in a collision on Monday afternoon in Valencia.
The crash was reported at around 12:24 p.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near Magic Mountain Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Transit Services Bureau bus reportedly collided with a Toyota Prius on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
Paramedics responded to the incident and transported three people to the hospital for treatment in unknown conditions.
The inmates proceeded to Pitchess Detention Center to be further evaluated for any injuries.
The crash resulted in the closure of the far-left lane on Interstate 5.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
