1 Injured in Walnut Creek Accident on Ygnacio Valley Road
Walnut Creek, California (July 14, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after a crash involving a public works truck on Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek Wednesday morning, according to police.
The collision happened on the eastbound side between Cowell and Oak Grove roads at about 8:30 a.m. on July 13.
Crews were performing road improvements in the area when a vehicle slammed into the back of a parked work truck.
The driver sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The crash caused a closure of the roadway for nearly three hours as authorities investigated the incident.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
