Minor Injuries Suffered in Motorcycle Accident on 80 Freeway in Berkeley
Berkeley, California (July 15, 2022) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was hurt in a traffic collision that took place Friday morning in Berkeley.
The accident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just east of the Gilman Street off-ramp.
A motorcycle was lane splitting when the rider reportedly flew off the bike and was hit.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
The paramedics evaluated the rider for minor injuries. It was not clear if the victim was hospitalized.
No other details were given, but a CHP is investigating the incident.
