Rachel Norton ID'd as Woman Injured in Fatal Modesto Crash on Stuhr Road and Eastin Road
Modesto, California (July 16, 2022) – Rachel Norton, 22, has been identified as the woman who was seriously injured in a Friday morning traffic accident that killed one other person in Modesto.
The accident occurred at about 10:24 a.m., on July 15, at the intersection of Stuhr Road and Eastin Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2015 Toyota Sedan, driven by Norton, was headed eastbound on Stuhr Road towards Eastin Road when it entered the intersection.
Unfortunately, Norton's Toyota was struck on the right side by a 1999 Peterbilt tractor operated by 58-year-old Daniel Forte.
As a result of the crash impact, the Toyota reportedly flipped over and stopped in the southeast of the intersection.
Sadly, a passenger in the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
Norton was seriously injured and was flown to Doctor's Medical Center.
It was unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
