1 Killed and 1 Injured in DUI Car Crash on Walerga Road in Antelope
Antelope, California (July 18, 2022) – A Roseville man was killed in a suspected DUI car crash that left at least one other person injured on Friday night in Antelope, Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 11 p.m. July 15, on Walerga Road.
Officers say a 68-year-old Roseville man was driving a white Chevrolet Corvette southbound on Walerga Road when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 31-year-old.
The driver of the Corvette was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
CHP suspect that the deceased driver was driving under the influence of DUI.
The driver of the Malibu was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
