Teen Bicyclist Critically Hurt in Oxnard Accident on Gonzales Road at Williams Drive

Oxnard, California (July 19, 2022) – A teenage bicyclist was struck and critically injured by a vehicle in Oxnard on Monday night, according to the Oxnard Police Department.
The incident occurred on Gonzales Road at Williams Drive at about 8:12 p.m. on July 18.
Police said a 2021 Dodge Ram van driven by a 19-year-old Oxnard man was heading north on Williams Drive when it collided with a 14-year-old boy riding a bike on Gonzales Road.
The boy was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with critical injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
Police do not believe speed or alcohol played a role in the incident.
The Oxnard Police Department is investigating the crash.
