2-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized after Sacramento Accident near Rio Linda Blvd and Phillipi Way
Sacramento, California (July 19, 2022) – A 2-year-old girl was hospitalized with serious injuries after she was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon in north Sacramento, as per a local news source.
The incident took place just after 4 p.m. near Rio Linda Boulevard and Phillipi Way.
According to Sacramento police, the toddler was hit by the vehicle under unclear circumstances.
At the time of the report, it was also not yet determined if the kid was unattended when the accident happened.
The child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but not by paramedics.
The driver involved stopped and remained at the scene.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
