Richard Lewis ID'd as 43-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Prather Crash on Highway 168 west of Little Sandy Road

Prather, California (July 20, 2022) – Richard Lewis, 43, of Auberry, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a Wednesday morning traffic accident in Prather, authorities said.
The deadly motorcycle accident happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Highway 168 west of Little Sandy Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Lewis was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on Highway 168 when he rear-ended a westbound Toyota that had stopped to make a left turn.
As a result of the crash impact, Lewis was reportedly ejected onto the roadway, where he was struck by another vehicle.
Sadly, Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The involved drivers were not injured in the mishap.
It was unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
