Rider Hospitalized after Santa Barbara Motorcycle Crash on Cabrillo Boulevard
Santa Barbara, California (July 22, 2022) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized with severe injuries after colliding with a truck Thursday afternoon in Santa Barbara, as per a local news source.
The accident happened just after 2 p.m. in the 300 block of East Cabrillo Boulevard.
According to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, the male motorcyclist collided with a truck under unclear circumstances. The force of the crash caused him to lose his helmet and sent him about 30 feet into the air.
Responding firefighters and AMR paramedics treated the rider at the scene and then transported him to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with head and other injuries.
Santa Barbara police are investigating the accident.
