David Marceau Hurt in Douglas City Accident on State Route 299
Douglas City, California (July 23, 2022) – David Marceau, 74, was injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Doulas City on Wednesday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred on State Route 299 near State Route 3 at about 2:20 p.m. on July 20.
According to the report, Marceau was trying to merge eastbound on State Route 299 from State Route 3 when he collided head-on with a westbound vehicle that also made a left turn to merge.
Marceau was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with injuries believed to be minor.
The other driver, Bilal Abdelrauf, 21, and his passenger declined medical aid.
Authorities said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
