Woman Dies in Ceres Accident on East Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road

, California (July 23, 2022) – A woman was killed in a crash involving a suspected DUI motorist in Ceres on Friday night, according to the police.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident at East Whitmore Avenue and Morgan Road just before 10:15 p.m. on July 22.

According to police, vehicles were stopped for a red light at the intersection when another driver failed to stop and crashed into the rear of one of them.

The two vehicles then collided with two others stopped at the intersection.

A woman in one of the vehicles was killed in the crash. Her identity was not immediately released.

Three other parties were injured in the collision. The patients were taken to local hospitals, two of them with critical injuries.

An 18-year-old baby in one of the vehicles was not injured.

The driver of the vehicle that triggered the pileup, identified as a 25-year-old man, was arrested on charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

An investigation into the deadly Ceres accident is ongoing.
