One Killed in Highway 108 Accident in Tuolumne County
Tuolumne County, California (July 25, 2022) – One person was killed in a head-on collision in Tuolumne County on Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Highway 108, shortly after 5 p.m. on July 24.
According to the CHP, a 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage was traveling westbound on the highway when it swerved across the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming 2006 Lexus ES 330.
The man driving the Mitsubishi died in the accident. His name was not immediately released.
The other driver, a 72-year-old man, sustained major injuries.
The CHP is investigating to find out what caused the wreck.
