1 Person Suffers Possible Major Injuries in Crash on Highway 99 near Merced Avenue in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (July 26, 2022) – One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday night on a highway in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck was reported at about 9:26 p.m. on northbound Highway 99, just north of Merced Avenue.
Two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, one of them ending up in a ditch.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and helped one person who sustained possible major injuries, including a possible broken ankle.
Both cars were towed away from the scene with crash damage.
CHP is investigating the accident.
