Faysal Hekmat Killed in Santa Barbara Motorcycle Accident at Highway 1 at San Antonio Road
Santa Barbara, California (July 28, 2022) – Faysal Hekmat, 33 of Santa Maria, has been identified as the man who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Thursday morning near Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 7:49 a.m. on Highway 1 at San Antonio Road.
Faysal was riding a motorcycle southbound on Highway 1 when he was struck by a southbound GMC Yukon.
A Lincoln Navigator, a Jeep Cherokee and a Subaru Legacy were also involved in the collision.
Faysal was ejected from the motorcycle during the collision.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the incident and pronounced Faysal dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
