Joseph Estrella Identified as Man Killed in San Diego Crash on Interstate 15 near Friars Road
San Diego, California (August 19, 2022) – Joseph Pajares Estrella, 27, has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic accident involving a box truck in San Diego, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
The deadly accident occurred at around midnight on July 28 on Interstate 15 north of Friars Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Estrella was headed northbound on the freeway when his vehicle, for unknown reasons, veered off to the right and struck the rear of a box truck on the shoulder lane.
The box truck driver was reportedly pulled over due to a flat tire.
Sadly, Estrella was pronounced dead at the scene.

San Diego, California (July 29, 2022) – At least one person was killed in an early morning crash that happened on Interstate 15 in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred at around 1 a.m. on northbound Interstate 15 near Friars Road.
A pickup truck and another vehicle were involved in the collision.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
According to CHP, at least one person died in the accident. It was not clear if anyone else was injured.
No other information was given, but an investigation is ongoing.
