At Least 1 Hurt in Concord Car Accident on Highway 4 and Port Chicago Highway

Concord, California (July 29, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a minor car accident that left at least one person with minor injuries on Thursday night in Concord.
According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, the accident occurred at around 11:40 p.m. July 28, on westbound Highway 4, just east of Port Chicago Highway.
The CHP officials confirmed two vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and attended to at least one person injured in the accident. The total number of patients was not immediately provided.
Officials said that the two cars were blocking lanes 1 and 2 and one of the vehicles was disabled following tha accident.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the cars from the accident site. The roadway was clear as of 12:13 a.m. early Friday morning.
Further details regarding this incident were not released.
The incident remains under investigation.
