Christopher Saldana Among 2 Killed in Banning Accident on Interstate 10 at E. Ramsey Street

Banning, California (July 31, 2022) – Christopher Saldana, 24, of Banning, has been identified as one of two people who died in a car accident that took place in Banning on Friday evening, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office.
The wreck occurred just before 8:37 p.m. on July 29, on Interstate 10 at the E. Ramsey Street on-ramp.
Authorities said one of the drivers refused to stop for a traffic stop, and this led to a crash with another vehicle.
Four parties were trapped in the vehicles and were extricated by firefighters.
Two people died at the scene, while the other two were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Saldana and James Darnell, 75, of Cabazon, were identified by the coroner's office as the two who died in the accident.
