At Least 1 Suffers Severe Injuries in Lafayette Car Crash on Highway 24 near Acalanes Road Off-Ramp
Lafayette, California (August 1, 2022) – At least one person suffered severe injuries in a two-vehicle accident that happened Monday morning in Lafayette, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at about 5:40 a.m. on westbound Highway 24, just east of the Acalanes Road off-ramp.
CHP said a black Acura MDX collided with another car for unknown reasons.
An occupant of the Acura complained of pain and experienced difficulty breathing before first responders arrived at the scene.
Responding emergency personnel said at least one person suffered major injuries, including facial lacerations.
Traffic flow was temporarily affected in the area following the accident.
