Several Injured in Lucerne Car Accident on Highway 20 at Country Club Drive
Lucerne, California (August 1, 2022) – Several people were injured in a Lucerne car accident that took place Monday afternoon on Highway 20, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The head-on collision occurred at about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Country Club Drive, just in front of Lucerne Elementary School.
A red SUV and a black pickup truck were involved in the accident. The vehicles were blocking at least one traffic lane after the crash.
A man in one of the cars had a lot of blood on his body, and possibly three others were walking around with wounds.
The California Department of Forestry responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance to respond. A REACH air ambulance responded to the scene and airlifted at least one victim.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
