Erik Verdian Identified as Man Killed in Palm Springs Car Crash on East Palm Canyon Drive and Sunrise Way
Palm Springs, California (August 2, 2022) – Erik Verdian, 31, of Burbank, has been identified as the man who was killed in a suspected DUI accident on Saturday night in Palm Springs, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 9:07 p.m., on July 30, at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Sunrise Way.
According to the police, a vehicle was headed southbound on Sunrise Way when it crashed into the back of another car driven by Verdian. Verdian's vehicle was stopped at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive at the time of the accident.
The collision reportedly caused a chain crash with two other vehicles that had stopped at the intersection.
Sadly, Verdian was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, who was suspected of driving under the influence, was also taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
