Minor Hospitalized after 2 Jet Skies Collide Head-On on Rollins Lake in Grass Valley
Nevada County, California (August 3, 2022) – A juvenile was airlifted to a trauma center after being involved in a head-on jet ski crash Tuesday afternoon in Grass Valley, Nevada County, as per a local news source.
The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on Rollins Lake near the southwest end of Peninsula Campground.
Responding deputies learned that two juveniles were each riding a jet ski when they collided head-on.
One of them who needed urgent medical attention was loaded by people onto a personal watercraft and met emergency personnel on land. The male juvenile was then airlifted to a regional trauma center in unknown condition.
The other minor, who is a friend of the victim, was not hurt.
An investigation is ongoing.
