Four Injured in Costa Mesa Accident on State Route 405 Freeway near State Route 55
Costa Mesa, California (August 4, 2022) – Several people were injured in a fiery multi-vehicle collision that occurred in Costa Mesa on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened just before 12:28 p.m. on State Route 405 Freeway near State Route 55.
According to the report, a big rig and three other vehicles were involved in the collision that caused the big rig to overturn and several vehicles to burst into flames.
At least four people were injured in the accident. There was no update on the condition of those injured in the collision.
Several lanes of the 405 Freeway were closed as authorities worked at the scene.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
