1 Hurt After Bakersfield Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Highway 43
Bakersfield, California (August 5, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car accident that left one person with minor injuries on Thursday afternoon in Bakersfield.
The accident occurred on northbound 5 Freeway, just south of Highway 43 at around 1:17 p.m. on August 4.
The CHP officials said two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
Emergency crews and medical personnel rushed to the scene and attended to at least one person injured in the accident. Juveniles were reportedly involved in the crash. The total number of patients and their current condition were not immediately provided.
The cars were blocking lane 1 following the crash. Tow trucks removed the vehicles from the accident site.
