Hills, California (August 5, 2022) – Authorities have identified 23-year-old Asherey Ryan as the woman who died with her unborn baby in a deadly that killed six people on Thursday afternoon in Windsor Hills, .

According to a local news source, the accident occurred at around 1:40 p.m. on August 4, at La Avenue and Slauson Avenue, just east of Ladera Park.

Per the report, a 40-year-old woman drove through the junction at a red light at a high rate of speed and caused a six-vehicle collision. Officials said the driver was heading southbound on La Brea Avenue when she crashed into a vehicle driving on Slauson Avenue. The crash caused the two vehicles to collide with others before slamming into a gas station sign. At least three of the vehicles burst into flames due to the collision.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and declared Ryan, her unborn son, and four other persons dead at the accident location. Eight parties, including six teens, were rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

The female driver that caused the accident, identified as a travel nurse, sustained severe injuries following the collision. 

An investigation is underway.

, California (August 4, 2020) – Six people including a pregnant woman and an infant were killed in a horrific car crash in the Windsor Hills area, southwest of downtown Los Angeles, on Thursday afternoon.

At around 2 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to a horrific scene of a collision at the intersection of La Brea and Slauson avenues.

A  Mercedes ran a red light at the intersection and struck multiple cars. Two vehicles reportedly caught fire after the collision. One of the vehicles appeared to have rolled onto its roof near a gas station entrance.

A witness said one of the drivers appeared to be making a left turn before the crash.

Six people died in the crash, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.

Eight people were injured in the horrific crash and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
