1 Hospitalized with Major Injuries after 2-Vehicle Accident on 80 Freeway near Greenback Lane Off-Ramp
Sacramento, California (August 5, 2022) – One person was sent to the hospital with major injuries after two vehicles collided Friday afternoon in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported at around 2:20 p.m. on eastbound 80 Freeway, just west of the Greenback Lane off-ramp.
A green Honda Accord reportedly swerved into a white Toyota Tacoma, causing a collision. The pickup went off the roadway onto the right-hand shoulder and hit a tree.
Sacramento firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene. Medic 24 transported one person to Mercy San Juan Hospital with serious injuries.
CHP is investigating the collision.
