At Least 1 Killed in Highway 395 Crash near Chris Flat Campground in Mono County

Mono County, California (August 6, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that happened Saturday afternoon on a highway in Mono County.
The collision occurred at around 5 p.m. on northbound Highway 395 near Chris Flat Campground.
At least two vehicles were involved in the accident. One of the cars overturned onto its roof on the roadway, and another ended up over the guardrail.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and shut down the highway for an air ambulance to land.
The report said the crash resulted in a fatality and that one person was airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.
The cause of the accident will be established when authorities conclude their investigation.
