Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in San Lorenzo Crash at Hesperian and Lewelling Boulevards
San Lorenzo, California (August 6, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash after a car ran a red light at an intersection in San Lorenzo, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident was reported at about 3:50 p.m. at Hesperian Boulevard and Lewelling Boulevard.
A black Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a white Volkswagen Jetta, and a third vehicle were involved in the accident.
One of the cars ran the red light at the corner at a speed of more than 40 mph and hit the motorcycle.
The rider and the motorcycle were blocking the roadway after the crash.
Responding emergency crews transported the rider to the hospital with major injuries.
The Volkswagen was towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
