Marquis Pratcher and Caltrans Worker Killed in Mendota Car Accident at California Avenue and San Diego Avenue

Fresno County, California (August 8, 2022) – Marquis Pratcher, 25, of Merced, has been identified as one of the two drivers who died after one of them ran a stop sign causing a crash Sunday night at an intersection near Mendota in Fresno County, as per a local news source.
Pratcher was northbound on San Diego Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a white pickup truck heading west on California Avenue. The pickup truck overturned onto its side.
The collision occurred at about 11:53 p.m.
Pratcher and the second driver who was only identified as a Caltrans worker by the coroner were killed in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

The California Highway Patrol says the deadly collision happened at around 11:53 p.m. in the area of California Avenue near San Diego Avenue.
A white pickup truck and another vehicle were involved in the accident.
One of the vehicles flipped onto its side after the collision.
Officials say one person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
